after some madness!

this was what i initially wanted to make. a box like pouch! would be so cute especially with this beloved fabric! something i always wanted to try without sourcing any pattern. i shall let you know that i'm a crazy box collector! i am more interested in buying a thing if it comes with a lovely box/container. so i was really excited when i started cutting on this fabric. but due to some unforseen circumstances... namely my poor sewing skill and technique .. and just about my everything.. i was so frustrated when i couldn't get it done! i tried once and it was so unperfect! the fabric runs... it frayed.. it was so bulky with interface, lining and batting! i ripped off the stitches and i emailed superbuzzy enquiried about this fabric and was told it has been discontinued and they got no more in their stock ! :o see! i was getting more frantic by now! i gave up, put it aside and was quite despair looking at them.. so after a day of blankness, i bulldozed this small rectangle piece! lol! it was meant to be one side of the box pouch. i just couldn't see it being wasted. i sewed the bias in, ran my machine on the zipper*, all the way just using my hand to adjust them! i was so rough on it! thinking back, i could break the needle! i would normally put on my specs when i sew something thick with the machine but not this.

and this is the result after i bulldozed the small rectangle :)

surprisingly.. not bad huh ;}

and the remaining leftover would be turning into something else on another crazy day, wishfully! lol :)

* i finally found this lovely zipper after some scouting! it was quite costly compared to the normal one but definitely worth it coz it just.. lovely :)

That looks lovely Esther. Especially with the bias binding! Lucy x
