book & applique!

this book is quite useful for those who want to learn techniques on attaching and sewing collars, sleeves, hems and seams and sash and laces to compleate a heirloom dress or a simple bishop or yoke dress for little girls. but a person need to have some basic sewing skill to use this for it doesn't show you how to make a complete dress. i like it because the instructions are quite clear with step-by-step pictures :) (i'm a lazy reader)

...and these are two sunbonnet sue's applique i've made to be sew into a bag :) the little sue are quite weird when i first looked at them.. big hats, chubby & faceless?! lol. but now it started to grow on me. i think i would make a sunbonnet's quilt in the future! they look so awesome!
